She Is Growing Up And Moving On
Selena Gomez continues to extend her talents to many different areas. This time, she will be acting as an ambassador for fashion brand adidas.
With Selena Gomez's name constantly in the news because of her relationship with Justin Bieber, it's easy to forget how talented she is and the number of things she has already accomplished with her 21 years. Now the actress and singer is adding one more thing to her list of talents: designer. Adidas announced today that Gomez would be joining the company as style ambassador and guest designer for the NEO label.
"As well as sporting her favorite NEO looks, Selena will make appearances for the label in major markets throughout 2013 and 2014 and share NEO's latest news, designs and collections through her social media networks," said Sarah Medford, a rep for the company. "Teens will be able to shop for Selena's favorite NEO looks each season."
The actress is beginning a new chapter of her life. The show she has been on since she was a young teen, Wizards of Waverly Place, just wrapped up production, leaving Gomez free to do whatever she wants.
"Working on Wizards made me realize what an impact a weekly show can have on building support for you as an artist," Selena said, according to Hollywood Life. "I'd love to be part of another ensemble series, something contemporary and kooky and funny and a bit romantic. Like Friends was back when it started."
But perhaps because she is multi-talented, she can't seem to narrow down what she would like to do with her life.
"I'd like to grow with my music," she added. "It's really a passion of mine. I want to have fun with it and make my fans happy with what I sing. I love it and want it to be a part of my life forever. Of course, I want to make feature films, ideally dramatic ones, and I know you have to be careful about how you do it."
Gomez is currently working on a Wizards of Waverly Place movie and is also working hard on the adidas campaign.
According to company rep Medford, adidas' NEO brand is found in over 3,900 stores nationwide, including Kohls, JC Penney and Famous Footwear.
