"Kelly Ripa - the girl can hold a grudge... #madonnaMSG," O'Donnell tweeted Monday night.
It's easy to assume O'Donnell is talking about a feud the two women had six years ago. At the time, Ripa had had singer Clay Aiken on the air and made a comment O'Donnell took offense to. While he was on the show, Aiken apparently put his hand over Ripa's mouth, and she wasn't very happy.
"Oh, that's a no-no," she told him, according to Perez Hilton. "I don't know where that hand's been, honey!"
The comment led to responses from O'Donnell, which led to the two women arguing on air on The View. O'Donnell felt the reaction to Aiken's hand sounded homophobic, and Ripa explained that she was concerned because Aiken had been shaking the audience's hands before the show.
"It's cold and flu season!" Ripa told O'Donnell at the time.
She defended her comments in many ways, and O'Donnell explained that she saw it from her point of view, and Ripa said that she saw it from her point of view. The discussion became very heated, with the other View hosts sharing their thoughts as well.
Perez Hilton tweeted Monday night from the Madonna show that "VIP is quite the scene!" and tagged Anderson Cooper, Ripa and O'Donnell, among others. O'Donnell also tweeted from the show all night and posted a photo of herself with the Material Girl on Twitter. Ripa tweeted as well about the Madonna show, but she didn't once mention Rosie O'Donnell, leaving many to wonder if the feud is the same one from six years ago. If it is and something really did happen, O'Donnell may actually be right that Ripa hasn't let go.
