Olivia Wilde becomes an East Coaster

Jaclyn is an Idaho native who currently lives in Milwaukee. Having worked in radio, TV and as a newspaper reporter, she is an avid pop culture and news junkie. She also has a passion for photography and cooking (but is still learning to ...

Her life is changing in many ways

The 28-year-old actress is facing many changes in her life. For her, it means she is finally able to relax and just focus on doing one thing at a time.

Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde is moving on with her life, in more ways than one. Recently, House, M.D. wrapped after eight years, and Wilde was on the show for five of those years. With the show over, she has decided to move from Los Angeles to an apartment in downtown Manhattan to live with her boyfriend, Jason Sudeikis.

"I've been decorating our new apartment," she told USA Today. "That's a lot of what I do, too. I'm so domestic. We have a cool, new electronic drum kit. It's a good life. For years, I worked constantly. I was doing the show and doing movies on the weekends."

Wilde seems to be fitting into her new city. She and Sudeikis are making the most of the city and finally being able to be together full-time.

"Since moving east, Wilde has become the consummate New Yorker," said USA Today. "During a morning off, she went to the Guggenheim to see a retrospective of Dutch artist Rineke Dijkstra. She rides the subway, armed with books and her headphones. At night, she and Sudeikis see theater or live shows. The two... spend evenings 'nerding out' with fellow actors."

The actress said she and Sudeikis have also talked about someday working together, but it would have to be the right opportunity.

"We talk about it all the time. We're constantly doing bits together," she said. "One day, someone will turn a camera on that. It would be a good movie."

Wilde's mom was a producer for 60 Minutes and Frontline, and Wilde said she'd love to be the kind of mom her mom was. Although the 28-year-old is not thinking about having kids any time soon, she knows she is going to be a good mom when the time comes.

"I think it would be great. My mom was a great example of having a professional life and having a kid. It can be done," the actress told USA Today. "No one is saying it's easy, but I'm totally inspired by the idea of being a badass, working, professional mom. I'm so into my dog. I can't imagine how I will smother my child."
