Diane Sawyer was either really, really tired or really, really under the influence during ABC News' election coverage on Tuesday night.
Let's face it: we were all over it by the time the election results rolled in on Tuesday night. The long, negative election season definitely took its toll on newscasters, too, judging from veteran newswoman Diane Sawyer's barely coherent commentary on Tuesday night.
Rumors started soon after ABC's live coverage began on Tuesday night, mostly because Sawyer acted, well, drunk. She was loud, a bit obnoxious and asked for music at one point.
"OK," she said later in the evening, "I wanna — can we have our music, because this is another big one here? Minnesota, we're ready to project Minnesota, rrright now... Well, tonight we know that President Barack has won Minnesota."
See? She basically acted like we all do when we're out on a Friday night with friends. Oh, and she also called our newly re-elected president "Barack Orama" once. So yeah, something was up.
Twitter users fell all over themselves to comment on her apparent inebriation.
"And Diane Sawyer declares tonight's winner is... chardonnay!" the band They Might Be Giants tweeted.

I'm not one to try to second guess anyone but did anyone stop to think that she may have been a medical issue such as a stroke?? I perfer to think like that than point a finger and make fun of the person.
