Bobby Brown apparently needs more time in rehab. The singer was busted for his second DUI on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Bobby Brown is just racking up the hits this year — the hits to his arrest record, that is. The New Edition singer was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the LAPD.
Brown, 43, was stopped by cops shortly before 1 a.m. on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana, California — a short four miles from his Ventura home.
"He was pulled over for a traffic violation and based on the officer’s observations, he was arrested and booked for driving under the influence," Sgt. Pablo Monterrosa with the Los Angeles Police Department told the New York Daily News on Wednesday. "He failed a combination of the field sobriety test and the breathalyzer. It sounds like he was cooperative."
He was booked and released after paying $25,000 bail.
The bust comes just seven months after a similar arrest in Los Angeles. He later checked into rehab to deal with alcohol problem exacerbated by ex-wife Whitney Houston's death in February. He later told Matt Lauer that he was drug-free but still planned to have a cocktail now and again.
"I'm living the life that I want to live," he said. "[The doubters] can doubt all they want."
His big fear was for daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
"I will always be worried about that," he added to Lauer, adding that "I know what she is actually doing. I think people are, you know, making assumptions of what my daughter is and how strong she is. People tend to want to control strong-willed people. And that's what I see. I am her father. She talks to me about everything."
