American Music Awards still sweet on Nicki Minaj

After a week of professional turmoil, Nicki Minaj's luck as changed. The rapper-turned-American Idol-judge has been nominated for four American Music Awards. She leads the charge, with her only competition being Rihanna, who also scored four nods.

Next in line are Justin Bieber, Usher, Maroon 5, Drake and One Direction, who were all nominated in three categories.

The list of nominees was announced Tuesday by Christina Aguilera, who's scheduled to perform at the awards show.
