Justin Bieber barfs on stage — twice

Singer blames milk for unsightly incident

18-year-old singer Justin Bieber, promoting his Believe album, tossed his cookies not once, but twice, during a sold-out Arizona concert over the weekend -- but the show still went on.

Isn't it enough that he gets dissed by Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong at the iHeart Music Festival? Now, just as he's kicking off his Believe tour in suburban Arizona, Justin Bieber vomited twice on stage Saturday during a sold-out concert in Glendale.

He apparently left the stage after each gastrointestinal incident, but then came back, and even performed an encore.

Maybe the cherubic, 18-year-old singer needs to cut down on his pre-show milk and cookies. He later apologized to fans, sharing on Twitter, "Great show. Getting better for tomorrow's show !!!! Love u."

He added later, "And ... Milk was a bad choice!"

Yeah, maybe. And since Believe is his bid for more adult territory, aiming for the club scene more than the teen scene, maybe he should chalk his stomach ailments up to having imbibed in something a little more hard-core than milk.

Then again, he doesn't want to go down the same path that led his mother Pattie Mallette to throw herself in front of a truck at the age of 17. She had been sexually abused as a child, which led to drug and alcohol abuse.

"It was a culmination built up over the years of the abuse and the pain," she said of her suicide attempt on Today. "At the time I was messed up with drugs and alcohol and in a depression." But at age 18, she gave birth to Justin, and the rest, as they say, is history. Last month, she released her autobiography, Nowhere but Up.

Justin Bieber's 45-city Believe tour will go on as planned.
