New Photo Shows Bulging Biceps! Yes!
You can scratch up a back with those claws anytime, Hugh Jackman. The first look photo from the new Hugh Jackman movie, The Wolverine, due out in 2013 shows lots o’ skin -- just like we like it!
We like chest
He sings. He dances. He’s from Australia. He's Wolverine. If you’re not head-over-five-inch-heels in love with Hugh Jackman yet, you will be after you feast your eyes on the newest photo from next summer’s sure-to-be blockbuster movie, The Wolverine.
In the latest spinoff from the successful X-Men comic book series, the character of Wolverine, played by the sexy, disgruntled Jackman, is now on a mission to become a samurai warrior in Japan. Who said what? A wolf braves life in the Far East? Doesn't sound like the plot of a lifetime, but do you care when you know that he’s going to be shirtless throughout?
Or, at least we think he's going to be shirtless. This first-look poster for the new film seems to promise something of the sort. But now it's up the director to make the right choice. Will Jackman be performing this entire movie without a shirt?
It's an important question, especially if you've got date night the weekend of its release and need to make a smart movie choice. I mean, they can’t tease us with a shirtless first photo look without following up with at least a few, if not several Wolverine scenes in the top-half-buff.
The 44-year-old actor owes his start to this clawed character. In 2000, Jackman was a little-known actor from Australia when the role of Wolverine in X-Men made him one of Hollywood’s hottest leading men. He went on to film X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and also appeared briefly in X-Men: First Class. Those are some powerful fingernails!
Scruffy beard is nice, too
The film is directed by James Mangold of Knight and Day, 3:10 to Yuma and Walk the Line fame. The cast includes Will Yun Lee (Die Another Day, Total Recall) and Hiroyuki Sanada (The Twilight Samurai and Rush Hour 3).
The Chest, er, we mean, The Wolverine releases into theaters July 2013.
