Dads Can Be Funny Too
A hilarious spin on the obstacles of fatherhood? Count on Jimmy Fallon.
Imagine How I Met Your Mother meets every woman’s fantasy and simultaneously meets their nightmare of men being "the Mom." That's what Guys with Kids is all about! Needless to say, it will be entertaining. Jimmy Fallon – TV’s favorite and undoubtedly most adorable funnyman – has decided to start the laughs a little earlier in the night.
The late-night host is the executive producer of the upcoming and highly anticipated NBC sitcom series Guys with Kids. The multicamera comedy centers on three thirty-something dads who have absolutely no clue (shocking!) and don’t have their wives around every second during their fatherhood gig (terrifying!).
Each dad is at a completely different place in both life and relationships. There's Gary (Anthony Anderson), who has a ton of kids but no time for his marriage, newly divorced father Chris (Jesse Bradford) and Nick (Zach Cregger), who is constantly trying to make his family happy. To add a little extra comedy, Fallon scored perfectly when choosing actresses Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Tempestt Bledsoe to fill the wives' shoes. The dads' issues may sound depressing, but trust us, the show is anything but! Recently having gone through a heartbreak of my own, I watched the trailer and it added a little silver lining to the bleak cloud of heartbreak... okay, that's a slight exaggeration -- but you get it! Only Jimmy Fallon can turn real-life issues of marriage, relationships and parenthood into an abdominal-laugh workout.
We can’t wait for the extra night of laughs! It all starts Sept. 26 at 8:30 7:30PM Central on NBC
Why should you watch?
Because we all need that abs-laugh workout… and because we love seeing men mess up sometimes -- just admit it! This just may be the sitcom NBC has been waiting for to add sunshine to the dark era of The Office.
Anthony Anderson -- Gary
Jesse Bradford -- Chris
Zach Cregger -- Nick
