Shia LaBeouf is about to have real sex on camera, and he's "terrified." The actor and Charlotte Gainsbourg have reportedly signed on to do the real-life deed in the upcoming film Nymphomaniac!
Explaining he'll do "whatever is asked" to bring director Lars von Trier's vision to life, Shia LaBeouf told MTV News, "[The movie] is what you think it is."
"It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he's making," the star sort of explained. "For instance, there's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening."
All of that "happening" means Nymphomaniac is going to be edited into two different films. Rumor has it one will be just clean enough to make it past the MPAA, while the second will be a hardcore version.
"[Von Trier] is very dangerous," Shia LaBeouf went on to say. "He's the most dangerous dude that I've ever showed up for. I'm terrified. I'm so terrified, which is why I have to go. We'll see what happens."
The 36-year-old is familiar with 2001's Intimacy, directed by Patrice Chéreau, which depicted real-deal copulation as well, but insists this upcoming work will be different because the entire cast is game to get it on.
"Whatever is asked. I think we all are," Shia LaBeouf added. "I've seen Intimacy. [Von Trier is] talking about something different. ... It's going to be a wild movie."
All in a day's work, we suppose!
