The actress is growing up. She has a new album out soon, a wedding to plan and may be joining the show next season.

Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus made news yesterday when she reportedly cut her hair off, then posted the photo on Twitter.

But the singer/actress is back in the news, this time for something other than her hair. According to MTV, Cyrus is rumored to be appearing on Two and a Half Men next season.

A source told the network that she will be playing Jake’s love interest. Jake Harper, the son, or “half man,” on the show, is played by Angus T. Jones. In real life, Cyrus is less than a year older than Jones.

“While reps for both the show and the actress have yet to respond to MTV News' requests for comment, the source said Miley's character will be ‘sexy’ and the part will be ‘rife with comedy,’" said MTV.

Cyrus may have to make room in her schedule for the new role. Not only is she currently planning her wedding to actor Liam Hemsworth, but she is also working on a new album.

So Undercover, the latest film from the actress, is set to be released later this year. The movie is about a private eye “hired by the FBI to go undercover in a college sorority,” according to the Internet Movie Database, and has her starring opposite actor Jeremy Piven.

The 20-year-old starred in the Disney series Hannah Montana for five years, but has come a long way since then.

According to MTV, her new album will show how much she wants to be taken seriously as an adult artist.

“Earlier this summer, Cyrus began work on her next batch of music, which will reportedly show her growth not only musically, but also as a person,” said MTV. “Working with the likes of Pharrell Williams and Hit-Boy, an insider said she is ‘having fun making music for the first time in her career. ... We are watching a young girl turn into a young woman.’"
