The Group Will Reunite For One Day

It's been 10 years since the group broke up, but they are fulfilling their promise and getting back together. But not for long.

98 Degrees

If you were a teenage girl in the 1990s, your long-awaited dream may be about to come true.

But only for one day.

98 Degrees has announced they are getting back together, but for one day only. Not only that, but the show they have chosen also includes Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block.

And just in case that’s not enough, it’s taking place at Hershey Park, Pennsylvania. Fourteen boy band members from your childhood, plus unlimited chocolate? A show most of us can finally get on board with.

Kelly Clarkson, The Fray and Carly Rae Jepsen have also signed on for the festival.

"We are so excited to reunite and be a part of the Summer MixTape Festival. It's been over 10 years since we last performed together and there's nothing that makes us more excited than being on stage as a group," 98 Degree member Nick Lachey told the New York Daily News.

While there will not be a full-scale tour, as previously rumored, fans should be happy the band will be performing at this one show.

"This will be a chance for us to see old fans and meet new ones all while singing the songs we know people love to hear," Lachey continued. "We couldn't think of a better place and time to do this."

98 Degrees broke up 10 years ago, just before Lachey was on his own reality TV show Newlyweds with his then-wife Jessica Simpson. Since the show, the couple divorced. Lachey is remarried and Simpson just had her first baby with fiance Eric Johnson.

The MixTape Festival lasts two days, but the three boy bands will be playing on Aug. 18. Now all we need is Britney Spears and 'NSync to sign on to the festival for our 1990’s dreams to come true.

I wish I lived on the east coast, I would absolutely attend! I would love to see all of these groups back together. I hope that they don't get the itch and do a full blown tour though, I don't think that 98 Degrees will have the following and success NKOTB and BSB had!

Man what a blast from the past! I loved 98 degrees when I was younger! And the Backstreet Boys and NSynch and The Spice Girls, actually, I loved all of em! This show promises to be pretty awesome. I hope they've still got it after ten years apart.
