She Makes As Much As Her Twilight Co-Stars
The actress is also the youngest on the list by 16 years. On the list of top 100 celebrities, however, she is nowhere near number one.
Forbes Magazine said Stewart is making an estimated $12.5 million for each of the last two Twilight films of the series. They report that both her Twilight co-stars, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, made the same salary for the films.
“…But Stewart earned more than them this year because of Snow White and the Huntsman,” the magazine reported.
Because of these projects, Stewart made around $34.5 million in the last year (between May 2011 to May 2012).
Stewart was sixth last year on the list.
Rounding out the top 10 are Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica-Parker, Meryl Streep, Kristen Wiig and Jennifer Aniston.
Diaz is not far behind Stewart; Forbes is reporting she made $34 million last year. Between her three movies, Bad Teacher, What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Green Hornet, she earned her place at number two.
Being the highest paid actress doesn’t necessarily make Stewart the biggest celebrity. Forbes Magazine also compiles a list of top 100 Celebrities, which takes into account both money and fame, and Stewart is much further down the list, at number 43.
Quite a tumble from being number one.
The top 100 Celebrity list is topped by Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
“A few years ago it looked like Lopez was done,” said Forbes. “Her albums, like the all-Spanish Como Ama una Mujer, failed to find the broad audience she once enjoyed. Her movies, like El Cantante, flopped.”
But, she has since made a comeback with her hosting duties on American Idol, among other projects.
She makes $20 million a season on American Idol.
Lady Gaga was number one last year, with Oprah keeping her number two seat.
