Model Chrissy Teigen — like thousands of music fans — was more than a little upset that Chris Brown decided to lip sync his performance on last weekend's Billboard Music Awards. And she — like thousands of music fans — took to Twitter to express her disgust over Brown's cop out.
"So excited to see Chris Brown! I love loud and surprising background fits of rage I can hear from the audience!" she snarked on the social media site. "Why sing when you can dance?"
Soon after, Brown's rag tag band of fans started threatening her life on Twitter.
"@chrissyteigen b**** who the f*** are you h**? you unknown b****. you need some D*** in yo life? u mod? cause he winning.. b**** get a life," one amazing Twitter user wrote.
"I don't beat women, but you are one b**** I will make an exception for," another wrote.
"i hope someone tortures you alive so you can feel the pain & i can hear your amusing screams for help :)," yet another wrote.
You get the idea.
Teigen — engaged to Duets judge John Legend — isn't taking the threats too seriously, but she is (rightfully) upset at those who use violent language to stick up for Brown.
"Reallllly makes me sad that 99% of the most disturbing comments come from young girls. I'll end it there but it make me sad," she tweeted. "This is less about chris and more about the insanity that spews out of the rabid mouthes of team breezy."
"A team without talent or at least a god d**** jersey is just a gang. you're a gang," she added.
The controversial singer has stayed uncharacteristically mum on the recent backlash, though he's told his Team Breezy fans to chill on the death threats.
"Team Breezy! Lets stop sending death threats! I know y'all bout that life but it's wrong message! Ur turning haters into victims!" Brown tweeted.
They aren't haters if it's true, Chris.
