Lea Michele's tattoos are hidden so well that those looking at the star, seen here nearly busting out of her dress on Letterman, could never have guessed she has 14 tucked away!
"I come from a very big Italian family, and tattoos are very popular," Lea Michele explained during her Monday visit to the Late Show with David Letterman. "We'll be like, 'Let's all get tattoos.' Then we get super sentimental, and then the next day I wake up with, like, another butterfly on my foot. And I'm like, 'It seemed more important in the moment.'"
The family doesn't even let a little thing like a religious holiday get in the way of their ink impulses. Describing their Easter Sunday activity this past year the 25-year-old commented, "Some people go hunting for eggs. We go get tattoos."
"All my secret hidden spots are done," Lea Michele, who confirmed she's inked in no less than 14 places, went on to say, dismissing the idea that she'll keep up her tattoo trend. "My real estate is over."
Guess that means a bit of ink commemorating Glee graduation is out of the question? In Tuesday night's "Goodbye" episode the star we love to despise (as well as seriously envy) finally got her acceptance letter, but then lost the high school boy of her dreams.
Gleeks, you weren't alone in grabbing for a tissue as Finn's emotions twisted in the car break-up scene. As writer Jean Bentley so aptly summarized of Cory Montieth's moment to shine, "That was A+, five-star acting from a guy who hasn't been given the meatiest material to work with over the past few years."
With the Glee season 3 finale put to bed, both fans and the cast look forward to next season not quite sure what to expect. Of stepping back into Rachel Berry's shoes Lea Michele commented previously just this small tease: "I'm very excited about my storyline for next year for sure."
