Magic Mike won't be out for another month, but we're getting antsy to see sexy Channing Tatum and the gang strip down on the big screen. Why? Well, he won't stop talking about how sexy they all looked while filming. We need a cold shower, stat.
We're going to see a lot of super sexy Channing Tatum in his upcoming movie about male strippers, Magic Mike. He's hardly the only sexy male in the movie, though! The actor sat down with OUT magazine to talk about the film and said the person women (and men) should be most excited for is True Blood star Joe Manganiello.
"With Joe Manganiello naked in a movie, I think even straight guys are going to be, 'S***, I need to see that,'" Tatum said. "That man is a specimen."
Uh, we have to agree: Rumor has it Manganiello also goes full-frontal for the flick. If that's true, we'll be in the front row on the first day of release. Tatum added that straight men will like the movie, too — even though they'll be too chicken to buy a ticket.
"It's risky. People say that women and the gay community will go see it — knock on wood — but I know straight guys won't be like, 'Yo, what's up man? You wanna go see the stripping movie after the game tonight?' I doubt they'll have the balls to see it."
The guys are the ones who are most interested in Tatum's stripper past, though.
"What's funny is that the girls don't ask me questions about my stripping days, but straight guys want to know everything. It's that fantasy element. It's probably why a lot of females on Halloween are the whorey version of a ketchup bottle, or slutty nurse, which I love and respect — it's liberating."
Tatum — last seen on-screen with Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street — took the role of Mike to take a walk on the dark side. So far, he's only done comedies and chick flicks like The Vow.
"I was definitely looking for something to take me into the dark side," he said. "You learn something about yourself, you learn about men, women, you see a lot of depressing s***, people that are lost. But at the same time, the dark side can be exciting. It can feel like you're cheating death every night."
He doesn't miss his stripper past, though, revealed that he "never enjoyed the taking-the-clothes-off part."
"You are on a stage with people yelling at you, and you feel you're a rock star, but you're nothing — you're just a guy taking off his clothes, looking like a fool in a stupid outfit."
Well, you don't look like a fool to us, Channing — feel free to take off your clothes for us anytime you'd like.
