Get a taste of Pauly D's cocktails

Pauly D already makes several million dollars a year thanks to his Jersey Shore fame. DJ gigs and appearance fees combined with his Jersey Shore salary put his net worth at an estimated $3.5 million. But Paul DelVecchio  — ah, that's where "Pauly D" stems from — might be on his way to another major payday thanks to his love of booze.

TMZ reports the 31-year-old Rhode Island native is close to signing an alcohol deal with David Kanbar — one of the founders of Skinnygirl Cocktails, along with Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel. (Kanbar's uncle, Maurice Kanbar, invented Skyy vodka). According to TMZ, Pauly D and David Kanbar are supposedly shopping around a "series of vodka-based drinks in various flavors… meant to target the 'pre-game' market — the kind of drink you have before you go out for the evening."

The success of Pauly D's new liquor line seems promising. TMZ notes at a recent alcohol convention in Las Vegas, Pauly D and David Kanbar's cocktail concoction, titled REMIX, "sold more cases… than Skinnygirl sold in 18 months!"

Tabloid magazine the Examiner reports the Pauly D REMIX deal is actually finalized, with an official announcement expected Tuesday, May 15, 2012.

Pauly D was cast for MTV's Jersey Shore back in 2009. In 2011 he signed a record deal with 50 Cent's label, G-Unit Records for an undisclosed amount and was the opening act for Britney Spears' Femme Fatale tour. In March 2012, Pauly D's Jersey Shore spinoff, the Pauly D Project, aired on MTV.
