Move over, Scarlett Johansson! Lindsay Lohan might be taking the blonde actress' place as Woody Allen's filmmaking muse if their cozy dinner this weekend was any indication. The Liz & Dick actress dined at Manhattan restaurant Phillippe with the aging director, her rep confirmed.
"They had dinner together [Saturday] in New York," her rep told People. "Lindsay very much admires Mr. Allen."
No word on what they talked about, but we wonder if Allen has any words of wisdom for Lohan on the cusp of her comeback. He knows a thing or two about controversy — after all, he married the adopted daughter of his ex-wife, Mia Farrow.
We can't imagine that Johansson will pass the muse baton to Lohan without a fight, though — The Avengers actress has starred in multiple Allen movies and recently said that she has an "odd" relationship with the director.
"The only reason why Woody and I are still friends is because I've diagnosed all kinds of his skin tags, lesions, ailments," Johansson told Vanity Fair in 2011. "I've prescribed things for Woody that he's then asked his doctor to prescribe for him."
Uh, that's dedication.
However, Allen doesn't consider Johansson his muse — she's just a talented actress, he says. He might want to rethink any projects with Lohan, too: The troubled actress is still a problem child, based on her unprofessional behavior during her guest stint on Glee earlier this month.
"Lindsay was a total nightmare yesterday," a source said of Lohan on the Glee set. "She was three hours late in the morning, and when she did finally arrive, she just didn't want to be there. She did not want to work. She had not memorized her lines, and she kept disappearing so no one could find her."
Something tells us Woody Allen wouldn't put up with that kind of crap.
