A Shake Up In Kardashian And Odom's Priorities
Despite the recent $40 million contract for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom may be saying goodbye to their spinoff on E!
Even though celebrity and entertainment network E! just renewed Keeping Up with the Kardashians for three years at $40 million, TMZ reports Khloe Kardashian and her NBA star husband Lamar Odom are done with their spinoff, Khloe & Lamar.
TMZ says Khloe and Lamar refused to sign on for a third season of their hit television show in order for Lamar to focus more attention on his NBA career. Lamar was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers in to the Dallas Mavericks back in December 2011. In March 2012, Odom was seemingly dumped from the Mavericks only to be reinstated in early April 2012. As of today, he remains on the Mavericks roster, but as an inactive player. There is speculation Lamar will be traded to a new team at the end of the NBA season.
According to TMZ, sources close to Lamar reveal the 32-year-old wants to "focus on one project" — his basketball career — and spends most of his time these days training in Los Angeles. Khloe Kardashian seems to support her husband in this move. Sources tell TMZ the pair is not budging in negotiations with E! — although Khloe and Lamar will continue to make appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Khloe & Lamar was a ratings favorite for E! — the second season premiere exceeded expectations back in February with over 2.5 million viewers.
No official word yet from Khloe Kardashian or Lamar Odom on their rumored split from E!
