Penelope Cruz
Reveals Heroes

Penelope Cruz reveals her Hollywood heroes -- and some major cleavage -- in this month's issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Penelope CruzPenelope Cruz is a Hollywood force to be reckoned with, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have her own heroes. The actress revealed her industry idols in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar. Number one on her list: Academy Award winner Meryl Streep.

"When I first started watching movies and I saw Meryl's work, that's when I became obsessed with acting," Penelope told the magazine. "Now I kiss her whenever I see her! She must think I'm crazy." Recalling a magazine shoot they did together for the AIDS charity (RED), she said, "As soon as she got to the set, I had to sit topless on top of her. It was the most interesting love scene I've ever done."

Next on her list? Woody Allen, who directed her in her Oscar winning role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona and the upcoming comedy To Rome With Love.

"I love being around Woody. Watching him direct, and sometimes," she revealed, "he falls asleep while they are lighting the next shot. I take pictures of him because he picks the strangest positions. I always think he is going to fall off his chair."

Plus he's apparently hilarious: "That whole shoot I laughed so hard," she said.

Still, she is not interested in making Hollywood -- aka Los Angeles -- her home base for her little family, including son Leonardo and husband Javier Bardem, who spent most of their time in Madrid. "When I come here now, I have so many memories," Cruz said of LA. "Some of them good, some of them not so good. I have lived beautiful moments here, but I don't want to live here. It is not the place where I want to raise my kids."
