Justin Bieber's birthday is a cause for celebration! The "Baby" hit maker is now all grown up, and legally an adult at age 18.
To kick off the Justin Bieber birthday festivities the newly minted man of the hour paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It was there on stage that the teen heartthrob was surprised with the gift of his dreams.
"You work really, really hard," Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, said to him just before unveiling the ridiculously expensive -- yet environmentally conscious -- gift. "I always yell at you, 'Don't get anything flashy!' You know, we're not about that. Be humble, be humble. And I kind of broke my own rule."
Braun continued, "We wanted to make sure, since you love cars, that when you're on the road you are always environmentally friendly. And we decided to get you a car that would make you stand out… I think you know where I'm going, and you're kind of freaking out right now. That's a Fisker Karma."
It's a car -- a very expensive, exclusive car to be exact. Leonardo DiCaprio is a fellow Fisker Karma owner, while Al Gore and Colin Powell were among the first people on the waiting list for one. Just how much will the plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan set you back? In December 2011 pricing in the U.S. was listed at $102,000 for the basic model, and $116,000 for the top model.
Justin Bieber reportedly looked shocked in reaction to the birthday gift, and walked over to his new set of wheels. "That's for me?! That's crazy!" he commented in awe.
Justin Bieber's birthday celebration can be seen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Thursday!
