CSI investigates Days of Ours Lives diva

Krystal Clark is a Los Angeles based entertainment writer who loves all things sci-fi, comic book and fantasy. When she's not consuming other worldly genres, she likes to soak up classic cinema. Krystal has a real soft spot for Frank Cap...

Nadia Bjorlin's a prime suspect

CSI has scooped a former daytime diva. Nadia Bjorlin, who's best known for playing Chloe Lane on Days of Our Lives, is set to appear on the CBS drama. Get out your gloves and glasses: This one's going to be a doozy.

Former Days of Our Lives star Nadia Bjorlin is heading to primetime: The actress has landed a guest role on the long-running procedural CSI.

According to TVLine, Bjorlin will appear in episode 18, which is titled "Malice in Wonderland." The actress will play "Crystal Hasselbeck, a Las Vegas minx who has made a bit of a cottage industry of getting engaged, breaking it off and then holding onto the ring."

Compared to CSI's other cases, Hasselbeck's doesn't sound particularly bloody or deadly -- but there's a catch! After a series of robberies hit the Las Vegas strip, the CSI team is convinced that she's upped the ante.

Prior to this stint, Bjorlin appeared on the E! reality series Dirty Soap. The show chronicled the behind the scenes antics of soap opera stars such as herself, Galen Gering (Days of Our Lives), Kelly Monaco, Kirsten Storms (General Hospital), Brandon Beemer (Bold and the Beautiful), Farah Fath and John-Paul Lavoisier (One Life to Live).

Dirty Soap was executive-produced by former sudsers Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos (All My Children). E! recently announced that the series wasn't picked up for a second season.

Bjorlin exited Days of Our Lives last fall but was in negotiations to reprise her role as Chloe Lane. Unfortunately, talks fell through, and her return has been sacked. Bjorlin originated the character in 1999. It was there that she met Dirty Soap co-stars Farah Fath, Kirsten Storms, Brandon Beemer and Galen Gering.

CSI airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS
