Former flames Chris Brown and Rihanna have released remixes of a pair of tracks featuring one another, further fueling claims that the exes have reignited their volatile relationship.
Controversial exes Chris Brown and Rihanna are back together… and it's all in the name of music.
A pair of songs featuring the singers arrived online late Monday, just hours after Chris hit the headlines for publicly tweeting birthday wishes to Rihanna.
Brown sings on a remix of Rihanna's track "Birthday Cake." The Barbados-born singer -- who turned 24 on Monday -- can be heard putting down vocals on the remix of Chris's up tempo tune "Turn Up the Music."
Interestingly enough, Chris and Rihanna fell in love after recording a remixed duet of her 2007 blockbuster, "Umbrella."
"Turn up the music remix #RihannaNavy #Teambreezy enjoy!!!" Rihanna tweeted to the amazement of thousands of fans.
"Its a download OVERLOAD!!!! Working on more links for u guys, so errbody could have some #CAKE," she later added. "They can say whatever, Ima do whatever...No pain is forever <-----YUP! YOU KNOW THIS."
The remixes contain sexually-charged lyrics, which will undoubtedly add fuel to speculation that the singers are also reuniting romantically.
"I love you baby," Rihanna drawls on Chris' "Turn Up the Music."
"Girl I wanna f**k you right now. Been a long time I been missing your body. Lemme, lemme turn the lights down. When I go down, it's a private party," Chris sings on "Birthday Cake."
The former First Couple of R&B has been estranged since Brown pled guilty to felony assault in 2009. The singer admitted to punching, biting and bruising Rihanna (real name Robyn Fenty) after a pre-Grammy Awards party.
Chris is currently serving five years of probation for the attack.
Of course, the fleet-footed singer allegedly spent most of the evening trying to muscle guests into signing a confidentiality clause to keep news of his presence at the event from hitting the glossies.
"They have probably hooked up no more than half a dozen times in the past year," an unidentified squeal told Radar Online this week. "Rihanna doesn't care if she were to get public backlash if they were to reconcile, she is the one calling the shots now, which she likes."
Brown's live-in lover, Vietnamese model Karrueche Tran, reportedly nearly knuckled up with RiRi after the "Rude Boy" songstress got a little too close to her man at a party in Hollywood last month. Friends say Tran is now "cool" with Chris' rekindled friendship with Rihanna.
