Robin Thicke Caught With Marijuana
Robin Thicke has some explaining to do to his superstar wife, Paula Patton. The R&B singer was arrested Friday morning with his pot stash.
R&B crooner Robin Thicke was arrested Friday in Manhattan for possession of marijuana, according to the New York Daily News.
"Thicke was being processed Friday afternoon and is expected to receive a desk appearance ticket," the newspaper reported, adding that no specific details of his pot bust were immediately available.
The husband of actress Paula Patton has admitted that he's battled a cocaine addiction for several years — his song, "Cocaine" even talks about his addiction in detail.
"I'll say I never met a drug I didn't like," Thicke told a New York City radio station in 2011. He later abandoned his drug use for Patton and their young son, Julian.
"Have you seen my wife?" he said when asked how he stays clean. "For me, it's easy but if your wife doesn't look like mine and she's not a beautiful person inside and out then who knows how you're going to withstand all that temptation. But for me, I'm a very blessed man and I'm very happy, as a matter of fact, I'm very lucky and I work very hard to keep that woman happy."
The singer's father, actor Alan Thicke, also allegedly battled drug addiction.
Apparently, the blue-eyed crooner has no filter when it comes to talking about his personal life — and that includes his sex life.
"I like to try to get her into double-digit orgasms as much as possible," he told Essence.com in December. "It doesn't happen all the time, but when I've got my mojo and my swag, it happens. Every few months it's just like bam — repeated. Repeated! I like her to just be going crazy in the bedroom."
Whoa. His life isn't all about sex, though. Apparently, his new album, Love After War, was inspired by an extended dry spell.
"She was busy on the set [working] and I was losing my mojo," Thicke told Chelsea Handler about making his new album. "I was taking care of the baby — we have a new year-and-a-half-old son, Julian… After a week or so, I wasn't getting none… I was like, I need to make a song that's gonna put her in some lingerie."
