Kristen Bell plays an ambitious journalist in Big Miracle, facing pressures very similar to her lifestyle as an actress. Despite the demands of being big time, Bell told SheKnows she manages to stay grounded.
The blond-haired, blue-eyed, size two Kristen Bell strikes you as the model image of the ideal Hollywood actress.
But behind the hair and makeup, the Big Miracle star is really a low maintenance gal from Detroit struggling to stay grounded in the crazy Entertainment business.
"When I'm not in front of the camera, I'm at home and I usually don't wear any makeup," Bell told SheKnows recently. "There are plenty of days of the year that I don't even shower. I think that as long as you have that balance, and I feel that I'm a worthy human being, then I don't feel too much pressure from this business."
Her character in the film, reporter Jill Gerard, laments the stress of trying to maintain that "Barbie doll" look, that for Bell just seems to be a by-product of her healthy lifestyle.
"I actually just went vegan, which is interesting and wonderful," Bell told us. "I've been a vegetarian for over 20 years. To be more health conscious, I decided to give it a try."
Kristen Bell as Jill Gerard in Big Miracle. It's a good thing this star stays grounded in the big time biz.
Lucky for her, Bell's fiancé actor Dax Shepard is taking the anti-animal product plunge with her, making the journey much easier.
"He is vegan as well," said Bell. "It was actually his instigation."
