We won't be seeing Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow in his skivvies anytime soon. The devout Christian has refused to drop his drawers for a Jockey underwear campaign, according to the company.
"Some things are better when left to the imagination," Mo Moorman, public relations director for Jockey International, told Huffington Post columnist Rob Shuter.
However, some marketing experts are saying the creator of "Tebowing" shouldn't be so worried about dropping his drawers on camera.
"If you're not going to show the product, then how is the campaign going to work? You are either selling underwear or you're not," marketing expert Stephen Bender told the HuffPo.
"Tebow should have dropped his pants," Michael Kleinmann, editor-in-chief of The Underwear Expert, added. He thinks people are just uncomfortable with the idea of a man in underwear. "I don't know why everyone is so scared of men in underwear. Choosing a guy that people can relate to — a man's man — is good, but even he walks around his house in his underwear… People just need to relax and stop being afraid."
We think Tebow is good example of someone who sticks to his beliefs, no matter the criticism — and he's been criticized plenty.
"If you're married, and you have a wife, and you really love your wife, is it good enough to only say to your wife 'I love her' the day you get married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and every opportunity?" Tebow said of his love for Jesus.
"And that's how I feel about my relationship with Jesus Christ is that it is the most important thing in my life. So any time I get an opportunity to tell him that I love him or given an opportunity to shout him out on national TV, I'm gonna take that opportunity."
Though we'd love to see Tebow's cut body in his skivvies — and we're sure Kim Kardashian would like to see it, too.
