Lifetime Catches A Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has a new job. The reality star turned actress has scored a recurring role on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva. She'll play a love interest to one of the most unlikely characters.

Kim Kardashian Kim Kardashian continues to dominate the media. The reality TV star is expanding her acting resume with a new gig.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kardashian has landed a recurring role on the Lifetime hit, Drop Dead Diva.

The trade confirms, "Kardashian will play Nikki, Fred's (Ben Feldman) new love interest who partners with his ex Stacy (April Bowlby) in a new business venture."

Drop Dead Diva's executive producer Josh Berman is excited to have the emerging actress on board.

"I'm ecstatic to welcome Kim to the Diva family," said Berman. "In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I'm blown away by her smarts, sense of humor and passion. This series is all about reinvention and I'm so excited to see Kim 'reinvented' in the world of Drop Dead Diva."

Kardashian seems to be reinventing herself all over the place. Prior to this announcement, she snagged a guest spot on the Tim Allen comedy Last Man Standing. She also co-hosted a recent episode of the morning talk show, Live! With Kelly.

Some of Kardashian's previous acting credits include How I Met Your Mother and CSI: NY. In terms of reality TV, the latest season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York is airing now.

When she's not tackling the small screen, Kardashian is building her movie career. She has a supporting role in Tyler Perry's upcoming film, The Marriage Counselor, due out July 27.

As for Drop Dead Diva, it returns to Lifetime later this summer. Unfortunately, the official premiere date has yet to be announced.

I'd say Kim's so called "career" is more DEAD than drop dead. Her voice is so annoying I am surprised ANYONE would tap that AZZ
