Star Helps Injured Elderly Woman
Avatar's Zoe Saldana turned into a real-life action hero for a car crash victim on the streets of Los Angeles this week.
Zoe Saldana's latest role: Good Samaritan.
The dark-haired siren was thrust into the center of a real-life drama this week, after she witnessed a car accident involving an elderly woman.
Saldana is being heralded a hero for rushing to help the senior citizen, who was injured in a single car crash in Culver City.
The Avatar actress was driving around town when she stumbled upon the accident scene on Wednesday afternoon. The quick-thinking starlet helped the bruised and bloody woman out of the wreckage and onto the pavement with the help of another brave bystander.
Zoe, 33, then whipped out her cell phone and called 911 for help.
TMZ got their hot little hands on a recording of that emergency call, but since there are several female voices on the tape it isn't clear which is Zoe's.
She stayed with the victim until the ambulance arrived.
In photos snapped at the scene, Saldana looked visibly jarred from the incident. The star was photographed speaking with two firefighters and three police officers as paramedics examined the injured woman.
After it was clear that the victim was OK, Saldana proceeded on her way.
We bet her rumored boyfriend Bradley Cooper is just bursting with pride. Saldana, who split from her ex-beau of 11 years in November, has recently been romantically linked to Cooper, her co-star in the upcoming cinema drama The Words.
For Zoe, however, rescuing the elderly and injured from harm is all in a day's work. The beauty looked calm and relaxed again as she ran errands in a red cardigan and jeans in West Hollywood on Thursday.
