Jennifer Lopez's boy toy: Age don't mean a thing

When Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced their divorce, the question on everyone's lips was whom will JLo marry next? When she went back to her old stomping grounds -- her backup dancers -- to ferret out a new lover, no one was surprised. What did surprise us was how much younger Casper Smart is than his rich and glamorous lady love: There is an 18 year age difference between the two.

Between their near-generational gap and their markedly different financial status, you'd think the couple has nothing in common. You'd think wrong, and Smart wants you to know exactly how wrong you are. To him and JLo, age ain't nothin' but a number.

"Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant," Smart tweeted on Wednesday. "Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite."

"Our ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining," he wrote.

"We should all honor our time here by indulging our passion and dreams," Smart continued on Twitter. "Close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy!"

Lopez showed her support of his philosophical thoughts by retweeting them along with the single word "Love."

Wait, "love?" She's in love with this guy? Is that what that means? We can only hazard a guess, and Lopez herself was cagey on the subject during the season 11 premiere of American Idol Wednesday night.

"You always have high hopes that today will be the day when you will find the one," said Lopez. "You never know."

She's right: When it comes to Jennifer Lopez's love life, you never know.
