Mark Wahlberg: Action Hero In Real-Life?

Over a decade since the terror attacks on 9/11, actor Mark Wahlberg is speaking about how things would have been different had he been on any one of the hijacked planes.

Mark Wahlberg may have experience playing an action hero on the big screen, but would he have been able to stop the real-life 9/11 terror attacks? He seems to think so.

During Mark Wahlberg's interview for the February issue of Men's Journal the father of four's comments took a strange turn to a 9/11 "what if" scenario after he mentioned he was originally booked on one of the hijacked flights.

According to the Contraband star, if it were his children's lives on the line things would have ended differently.

"If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did," Mark Wahlberg said of the planes hijacked on 9/11. "There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry.'"

Those kids are Michael, Brendan, Ella and Grace, with wife Rhea Durham -- all of whom were born after the 9/11 terror attacks in 2001.

Imagining alternate 9/11 scenarios isn't the only thing that gets Mark Wahlberg's blood pressure skyrocketing -- how about the idea that his teenage daughters will someday go on dates with boys?

"I'm not going to think about that right now," Mark Wahlberg replied. "When the time comes, I will, but it's not a good thought for me to have. Thinking about it really stresses me out, so don't stress me out right now, because that's a stressful thought, OK?"
