smash pilot available for download!

NBC is giving viewers a chance to catch the Smash pilot before its big Monday, Feb. 6 debut and we suggest you run, not walk, to get your free download.

Smash is nothing like Glee and NBC is giving fans a chance to see that firsthand by offering the pilot for free, right now, on download destinations like iTunes and Amazon Video.

When we heard the free download was available, we clicked instantly to get a glimpse of the new Broadway-themed show starring Debra Messing, Katharine McPhee and Anjelica Huston -- and we were so glad we did.

The show embodies the human struggle of hungry actresses, entertainment professionals and those who love them despite it all.

There is no question of whether or not Smash and Glee can coexist because the content is very different. That doesn't mean Smash star Katharine McPhee doesn't realize the importance Glee has played in paving the road for her show.

Katharine McPhee told MTV News, "We're just actually really grateful that Glee has opened the door and has made music work on television."

Trust us, you'll want to check out Smash early. Katharine McPhee as Karen, a young actress fighting for the role of Marilyn Monroe as the rest of the cast works to open Marilyn the Musical, is addicting to say the least.

Head over to iTunes, Amazon Video and other digital platforms NBC has made Smash available on and check it out through the show's premiere on Feb. 6.

We want to hear from you. Will you be clicking for your free sneak peek of Smash?

We know you have an opinion, so why not use it?
