Says Vegas Was All Joke From The Beginning
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville had a quick Las Vegas wedding on New Year’s Eve, but Glanville tells E! News it was a stunt from the beginning.
It was certainly a short-lived marriage, but Glanville and Harvey both admit it was never intended to be a serious legal union.
Glanville will likely annual the marriage. She apologized to fans yesterday evening on her Twitter account. "I didn't mean to offend anyone! I believe everyone shut be able to get married & maybe even embarrass themselves in Vegas ;) This yr has been…Great for me in many ways! Im gr8ful for all the ppl I met thru RHOBV. Bare w/em, Im gonna make mistakes, but I always learn from them! Xob"
Darin Harvey was a bit more direct in his Twitter statement regarding the annulment from Glanville. "Everyone chill @BrandiGlanville and I were a bit ffffed in Vegas wanted to do something crazy so we did. Getting annulled still bff's."
E! News interviewed Brandi about her Las Vegas wedding -- she admitted both she and Harvey knew it was a stunt from the beginning, "In the car while we were driving to the chapel he was looking up annulment laws."
Glanville explained the two actually had difficulty getting married in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve. "We went to all the chapels on the strip and they were all closed… so then we went to Las Vegas Boulevard and told our cab driver there was extra money in it if we could get married before midnight. We went everywhere. Finally we found a place and they [were] like, 'You don't have paperwork. You can't -- it's not legal.' And we said, 'We don't care, let's get married anyways.'" E! News reports their cab driver served as Glanville and Harvey's witness.
After a quick ceremony, Brandi and Harvey celebrated their marriage at the Spearmint Rhino strip club in Las Vegas. She tweeted, "Me and my hubby are off to spearmint rhino,!! #honeymoonwithstripppers are the best."
Brandi Glanville is the newest member of Bravo's hit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She made headlines as a jilted spouse when then-husband actor Eddie Cibrian had an affair and later married singer LeAnn Rimes. Glanville and Cibrian were married in 2001 and divorced in 2010. Cibrian is best known for his television work on the short-lived NBC soap opera Sunset Shores.
Glanville admitted she will likely never officially get married again. She told E! News Online, "I'm actually not gonna get married again, for real. Marriage is an old-fashioned idea."
