NBA legend Michael Jordan just made a slam dunk in the love department. The star just got engaged to his girlfriend of three years, Cuban-born model Yvette Prieto.
A spokesperson for Jordan first confirmed the news to Charlotte, NC news station WCNC.
This will be Jordan's second marriage. His first to Juanita Vanoy ended in 2006 after 17 years. He handed over a reported $168 million in their divorce settlement. Jordan and Vanoy have three children: Jeffrey Michael, Marcus James and Jasmine.
The happy couple has yet to announce a wedding date but will have to fit it around Jordan's basketball schedule. While he no longer plays after his third retirement from the game, he and his group MJ Basketball Holdings own the Charlotte Bobcats.
Michael Jordan is one of the most lauded players in NBA history winning six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls, five Most Valuable Player Awards, 14 NBA All-Star appearances with three All-Star game MVP Awards and six NBA finals MVP Awards.
He has been voted SLAM Magazine's number one player of all time and ESPN's number one athlete of the 20th century and has won two Olympic gold medals -- one in 1984 and one in 1992.
