Just a month after Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher announced plans to end their six-year marriage, the 33-year-old Two and a Half Men star has been spotted on a Christmas vacation in Italy with Hollywood screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, also 33.
Has the accused philanderer found a new plaything?
On Monday, Kutcher tweeted a photo of himself posing with Scafaria and his business partner Matthew Mazzant, with the line: "Roman holiday with homies… Have an amazing new year!!!"
Speculation is swirling around the blogosphere about Ashton's relationship with Lorene, who wrote Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist and is the writer-director of the upcoming Steve Carell/Keira Knightley comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.
Us Weekly photographed the cheery pair taking happy snaps during a spot of sightseeing at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Ashton and Lorene were also seen driving around in a Porsche and having lunch at a Pisa restaurant.
A witness told the mag the duo "held hands" and "shared spaghetti and he paid."
Did we forget to mention that Scafaria recently split from boyfriend Adam Brody, former star of The OC?
Does that mean she and Ashton are more than just friends?
Not according to their reps. Publicists for Kutcher and Scafaria refute claims from a loose-lipped source that the two sparked a romance way back in February, when Kutcher auditioned for one of Scafaria's films.
Both reps state that "they're just friends."
Earlier this month, Ashton was spotted leaving a Berlin nightclub with not one, but three women.
Meanwhile, Kutcher's estranged wife, Demi , spent the holidays with family in Parrot Cay, a private resort in Turks & Caicos.
Moore's marriage to the pioneer of the trucker hat craze of 2003 ended after a report claiming Ashton cheated on her with Sara Leal, a 22-year-old administrative assistant, on the couple's sixth wedding anniversary, surfaced on the pages of Us in September.
Demi, however, retains her title as Mrs. Kutcher on Twitter.
