Sexy dad Damon talks fatherhood

We Bought a Zoo’s Matt Damon dishes to SheKnows about choosing roles that fit his devoted dad lifestyle.

It's easy to see why Matt Damon was recently voted "The Sexiest Family Man Alive." While some actors need bad boy roles and bicep flashing scenes to attract a devoted female following, the We Bought a Zoo star simply takes on fatherhood and felines and the audience swoons.

Matt Damon was voted to be The Sexiest Family Man Alive.

"I'm not the guy who goes speeding down the highway for no reason, I've got kids," Damon told SheKnows. "Now that I have so much to live for, I'm not the guy who goes 'I want to jump out of a plane.'"

Damon is referring to his three biological daughters and one step-daughter with wife of six years, Luciana.

Matt's co-star in the We Bought a Zoo movie, Scarlett Johansson, told SheKnows that she also hopes to have little ones running around one day.

These days, Matt's idea of fun is hanging out with the family, something he got to do a lot during this role.

"They would come out to the set a lot," said Damon. "They were really into it… particularly some of the more exciting animals like the lion, and the tigers and the grizzly bear."

When Damon decided to take the role of Benjamin Mee, a widowed father who actually buys a zoo, he moved his whole family from New York to Los Angeles for the taping.

"My business is kind of all over the place so I think one of the bigger challenges for us is the logistics," Damon told SheKnows. "We pass on movies now that don't fit our life. A movie like this, we just uprooted the family and moved to California and hung out on the zoo set for a couple of months."

Damon said spending a lot of time with his family is really the most important thing when it comes to fatherhood.

"A lot of times it's quantity not quality with kids, you just have to be there," said Damon.
