Sarah Jio

In the past five years juggling motherhood and writing, I've been fortunate to accomplish a lot. Three kids (all boys, under five), three books and the sale of a fourth that... um... I need to submit to my editor this spring, hundreds of magazine articles and thousands (yes, thousands) of blog posts for my job with Glamour. Isn't it funny that life always gets really busy when you're already busy?! On paper, I probably look like some sort of bionic superwoman. In reality, I'm exhausted, totally sleep-deprived and so not superwoman. I've got the crazy life thing down, but what I'm aiming for in 2012, especially in my writing life, is balance. Maybe I won't write on weekends anymore. Maybe I'll stop writing at night so often and instead watch more movies on the couch with my husband. Balance! Rest! Downtime! I'm going to try to find more of that in 2012.

Lisa Dale is my favorite author. I have read all 3 of her other books. Slow Dancing on Price's Pier is my favorite, but that may change once I read a Promise of Safekeeping. It is surely a Promise of Good Reading!!!!
