Is it his baby, baby? Justin Bieber has taken the DNA test he promised and will soon know whether or not he is the father of Mariah Yeater's baby.
"Justin took a DNA test on Friday night. The whole process lasted less than 10 minutes," a source told RadarOnline.
"It's an extremely reputable facility, and there are surveillance cameras everywhere to ensure tests are done with integrity and can't be compromised. Justin's test should be processed and completed by the end of the week. It's time for Mariah to put up or shut up, and submit the baby to a test."
Sources say the chain of evidence for the test was so tight that if (when) the results come back negative it will be nearly impossible for Yeater's legal team to dispute them on procedural grounds.
Not that Bieber is sweating it. Not only does the teen idol say he is not the baby daddy, he insists he has never even met Yeater and she is victimizing him for cash. In fact, Yeater's own lawyer admitted they went to Bieber's peeps in private to arrange a cash settlement before going to the press.
If (when) the test proves Bieber is not the father, his legal team says they plan to sue Yeater for defamation of character for bringing forward the false claims and sullying the squeaky-clean teen's reputation.
Mariah Yeater dropped her paternity suit against Bieber and changed nearly her entire legal team, but is still pursuing the case privately. The 20-year-old single mom's accusations became even more suspicious when it was revealed last week she asked pals to delete all text messages in which she referred to her ex-boyfriend as the real father and offered cash from her expected payout to those who cooperated.
"As we've said from the beginning, it's sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claim," Bieber's spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, told the Daily News.
"We'll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin."
