Why won't Kris Humphries sign the divorce papers?

Does Kris want 72 more days?

Kris Humphries is reportedly holding off on signing his divorce papers. Could this mean he still wants to give his marriage another shot?

Does Kris want 72 more days?Despite numerous outlets claiming no reconciliation is in the cards for reality television star Kim Kardashian and her husband Kris Humphries, Life & Style now reports that the latter "doesn't believe in divorce" and refuses to sign his divorce papers.

Soon after the split was announced, Humphries did say he was "devastated" over his failed relationship with Kardashian, stating: "I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."

And it looks like he might be holding tight to his word. "He's not signing," a pal close to Humphries tells Life & Style. "He doesn't believe in divorce.

According to E! News, however, another source close to Humphries says that's simply not true. The source reveals, "It is not true that Kris is not going to sign the divorce papers."

"He's sad," the source adds. "He doesn't want a war. He's laying low."

Even though Kardashian is reported to be conflicted over her decision to end her marriage, sources close to the reality star say she knows divorce is the right thing to do. Reportedly, the purpose of her trip to Minnesota last weekend was to have a face-to-face chat with her soon-to-be ex-husband to gain some closure on the stressful situation.

But if there's anything we've learned from watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians, marriage is a sacred institution shared between two individuals desperately in love… with reality TV and People magazine photo deals.
