A Private Practice treat: In addition to three sneak peeks from tonight's "Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough," check out Kate Walsh dishing about being "stuck" between hunky Taye Diggs and Benjamin Bratt!
It's hard to imagine Amelia sinking lower than last week, but alcohol and drugs can do that to a person. This week, the good doctor escalates from writing a prescription for her new boy toy (Wes Brown) to writing a 'scrip for herself, which lands her in hot water with the police.
Private Practice Sneak Peek: Amelia's in trouble
With all the partying Amelia's doing, she is not only shirking her duties at work, she's also so strung out that even Mini-Coop Mason (Griffin Gluck) can see she's a druggie. With Amelia heading for rock bottom, her friends at Seaside will try to figure out how to help her.
It's all leading up to next week's intense Private Practice two-hour special. "It is incredible, but it's just gutting," Walsh teases in The Talk clip below.
Walsh also warns that Addison has a serious cry coming up soon, and it's not one of those pretty cries. "It gets… ugly," she admits with a laugh.
Addie's upcoming breakdown will likely have to do with her baby-making efforts. Jake fertilized her eggs last week and it's sure to be a long road to motherhood. No matter how rough it gets, however, Walsh foresees nothing but success for her character.
"One way or another, Addison Forbes Montgomery is going to get a baby," she promised. "She's tenacious and willful. She will not give up."
PRIVATE PRACTICE SNEAK PEEK: Coop's new family
While Addie is fighting for a family, Cooper had one handed to him recently, in the form of Mason, the son he never knew he had. This week, Charlotte (Kadee Strickland) gets in on the family bonding, only to have baby mama Erica (A.J. Langer) show up.
Erica is less than thrilled with the scene, as you can see in the clip above, but she's going to have to get used to Charlotte if she wants to keep Coop around for their son.
Private Practice SNEAK PEEK: sam vs. Jake
Amid all this personal drama, the doctors are also on call and this week's big medical issue will leave them divided. The conflict arises when one of Jake's pregnant patients is pronounced brain dead after car accident, but her 16-week fetus survives the crash. The problem is, the mother-to-be is also an organ donor and Sam has a patient who needs a heart.
The guys disagree about whether they should harvest the heart to save Sam's patient or save the life of the healthy, unborn baby, with Addison stuck in the middle. Violet (Amy Brenneman) may be able to help smooth things over, now that she's back to work at Seaside Wellness, but ultimately, this isn't actually the doctors' decision to make.
Kate Walsh visited The Talk this week and SheKnows has the full clip. Walsh looks back to Addison's first appearance on Grey's Anatomy and glows over getting to hook up with Taye Diggs and Benjamin Bratt, not to mention Patrick Dempsey's McDreamy, Eric Dane's McSteamy, Justin Chambers's Karev and Tim Daly's Pete.
* Note, Walsh doesn't take her seat until 1 minute into the clip and finally starts dishing the guys at 5:36
