Is Potter the People's Choice?

Harry Potter's not just a wizard, he's the people's king! The final sequel in the long-running series (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2) has received the most nominations for the 2012 People's Choice Awards.

The people have spoken and Harry Potter is top dog! The final installment in the popular film series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, leads the nominees for the annual People's Choice Awards. The fantasy film earned nine nominations including the biggest honor -- Favorite Movie.

Harry Potter People's Choice Award Nominations

Potter will have tough competition from fellow blockbuster Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and the comedy Bridesmaids, which both received nods for Favorite Movie and Favorite Ensemble Movie Cast. Other big-name nominees include Transformers: Dark of the Moon and the sleeper hit The Help.

Some of the top TV honors went to Glee, which earned nods in seven categories including Favorite Network TV Comedy and Favorite TV Comedy Actress for Lea Michele and Jane Lynch. The musical is closely followed by The CW's The Vampire Diaries, which received four nominations including Favorite Network TV Drama. The blood-sucking series will go head-to-head with CBS' The Good Wife, ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Fox's House and its CW peer Supernatural.
