Don't call JLo fat if you want to keep your job. American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez revealed that she once fired a manager for suggesting she drop some weight as a means to Hollywood success.
"I was just so infuriated that somebody said you couldn't have a little extra meat on you -- because I was by no means fat!" Lopez told her Monster-In-Law co-star Jane Fonda in an interview for Glamour.
"That was so mean and closed-minded. I was like: 'No, this is who I am and this is the type of woman that I grew up with and it was beautiful and there's no reason to be anybody but myself.'"
Now that she's a mega star, she doesn't have to worry about such rude comments. "I don't get that now," she said. "I think people know better."
The "On the Floor" singer also revealed that she hasn't decided on the big issue every woman in Hollywood faces sooner or later: Whether or not to go under the knife.
"Honestly, I'm not going to make a judgment on it because I don't have to yet," she told Fonda.
"I mean, I'd like to think I'll feel great about myself and age gracefully, but then I think: 'Well, what if I do want a little bit of something?' I'm open to being open."
