Fergie is ready to put her career on hold to start a family with husband Josh Duhamel, says Taboo. The Black Eyed Peas have announced they will take a break after their farewell concert on Nov. 23 in Miami.
"The Black Eyed Peas taking a little break is something that we respect and we all agreed upon," Taboo told New Times. "We have to respect Ferg. Ferg is our sister. She definitely wants to have a family, and we're happy for her."
Fergie, 36, has been married to Duhamel for three years and they both have been open about wanting a family. "He'd make an amazing father," Fergie said. "He's great with kids. I mean he can pick 'em up and swing them around. He was around kids all his life so he's going to help me because I wasn't around young, infant babies."
Taboo reveals that it is important to respect her wishes so things wouldn't go "sour."
"You can't neglect. You can't not respect people's wishes. As our sister, we have to give her space, " he said.
Can we expect a pregnancy announcement from Fergie any day now? Taboo says probably not quite yet. "When that time comes, I'll get to that point. Right now, she's still, I don't know if they're working on that yet," Taboo said. "She's focusing on getting through this year, finishing up strong with the Peas. When that time comes -- it doesn't just happen like 'Oh, I'm pregnant tomorrow,' it's gotta be planned out. And I think she and Josh deserve it. They're such a great couple."
