Sounds like the lure of the celeb lifestyle is singing to Kate Gosselin once more. She recently denied that she is returning to nursing and instead wants to continue her career in reality television.

Kate Gosselin wants to be a star -- not a nurse -- and she hopes to achieve that goal by getting back into the medium that made her famous to begin with -- reality television.

Kate Gosselin made a special appearance on The View on Monday to discuss her future plans now that her show, Kate Plus 8, has been canceled by the network that helped make her a household name, TLC.

There have been rumors circulating that Gosselin is returning to her former roots as a nurse, but according to her, that is not the case. She said, "It was always my backup plan, but one day you realize your backup plan won't work to provide for eight kids."

As far as the cancellation of her show is concerned, she said, "Obviously as an adult I'm paying attention to ratings. It was still a shock to hear it and sit the kids down for our first ever family meeting."

Gosselin also said on the talk show that she is hoping to land a television deal for the family in order to create further opportunities for her children, 10-year-old twins Mady and Cara, and her 7-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel.

When asked about her ex, Jon Gosselin's comments about being happy that his children are no longer on television, Gosselin responded, "I don't typically comment on what he has to say. His opinions don't affect me."

Gosselin might want to reconsider that last statement considering he is the father of her eight children and the one working while she's currently unemployed. And with all the negative publicity surrounding Gosselin in the recent past, we can't help but wonder if she does happen to get a new reality show, will anyone even watch?

I think Kate Gosselin is a great mom !! I think people are jealous of her !! I think she is very pretty, smart, organized, good mom. Ask yourself, what would you do, divorced, raising [8] children? I see her as a tough person, and is True to thine own self !! No way could she go back into working as a nurse !! She does what she can to be with her children and to provide for them !! Working as a nurse would take take up too much of her time, and take a lot of time from the children !! Good job Kate !!!!

I hope that Kate does get picked up for a new show. Her organization skills are fantastic and I think it would be great if she could help people who want to be organized like her. People may be haters but I am not one of them.

Kate, your 15 minutes were over a long time ago. Go back home to PA and get on with your life.

i am a retired RN and the thought of Kate Gosselin returning to nursing makes my skin crawl! Her lack of caring, compassion, and poor decision making skills make me think of Nurse Ratchit. Nursing is a well paid profession with a high current demand for qualified practitioners. Kate is probably aware that anyone who has seen her in action on her show or in the media wouldn't hire her anyway! .

Those kids were the stars, at least when their mother wasn't hogging all of the camera time!! If she wants to create more opportunities for the kids, then get a real job and save for vacations like everyone else. People work their butts off to provide for their children, you should try it sometime Kate! Haven't you put your kids through enough already???

Coupon blogger, 'lending her expertise'? WHAT a joke. You may have increased your brand awareness today, but you will find that serious moms who bargain shop will boycott your company after hiring shrew Kate.

Her reality series is no worse than the Kim,Kortney,Kloe series is it??? Her life at least was real not plastic.

I liked the show for the kids she always was terrible, the way she treaded John was so sad, but he did wrong also, so two rights don"t make a wrong or whatever good luck go to work Kate a get a life you have kids to think 0of now not yourself

I do not understand why TV shows still invites her to their shows. Nobody cares... SHE IS DONE!! Do not let viewers stop watching THE VIEW if you invite Kate again...

Kate just needs to go far far away. Jon has finally become the true parent to his children, seems to care more about their well being than his fame- of an ex-wife.

I loved the show ... Before all the drama ... I even liked Kate .... Now it's just annoying and pathetic I feel for the children, I hope the best for only them
