"Ordinary People"

The time has come for The Vampire Diaries to begin unveiling their November sweeps episodes. This week, we begin with a tale that shines more light on the Originals and how they came to be.

Executive producer Julie Plec teased season three of The Vampire Diaries would be the year of the Originals -- and has it ever! We've met little sister Rebekah, but that's just the tip of the iceberg .

Last week on The Vampire Diaries, Ric finished the job Mason was brought back to do and now we're staring right in the face of the mystery that could unlock more keys to the Originals and their past. But what does the viking script written on the wall of the old Lockwood cellar mean?

In the new episode, "Ordinary People," we're wondering if these Original vampires saw themselves as you and I at one point in time and we may get those answers.

When Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah get tangled in a power struggle of mean-girl proportions, Barbie Klaus is pushed to reveal some of her violent past with Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

From the looks of the picture above from "Ordinary People," it actually looks like Rebekah and Klaus once knew how to feel.

Check out a preview of "Ordinary People" and don't forget to watch the full episode tonight (Thursday, Nov. 3).

The CW officially describes "Ordinary People" as the following: "With help from Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham), Alaric (Matt Davis) tries to decipher the meaning behind his recent discovery. Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) engage in a mean-girl power struggle, until Rebekah finally reveals some of her family's ancient secrets and the violent past she shares with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies). Damon (Ian Somerhalder) tries a reckless new approach to make a breakthrough with Stefan (Paul Wesley), and they're both surprised by an unlikely ally."

With all the new revelations coming to light before The Vampire Diaries goes on holiday hiatus after the next few episodes, our heads will no doubt be spinning.
