Gene And Shannon Finally Tie The Knot!

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed finally became Mr. and Mrs. on "The Demon Says I Do?" episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. After 28 years together and two children, the two were united in a wedding ceremony filled with love and laughter.

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed

It was a day to remember as Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed finally became man and wife after 28 years together on the wedding episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels entitled, "The Demon Says I Do?"

The episode was a two-hour journey towards their special day, and it started off with Gene stating, "I feel solid and calm because it's my decision."

Shannon's fun began with her bachelorette party and Gene's Shannon-sanctioned bachelor party. While Shannon had fun with the girls enjoying male exotic dancers, Gene was reserved as two buxom blondes wriggled against him, very aware that making the wrong decision could cost him Shannon again.

The fun continued when Gene realized just how much all this was going to cost him. The flower arrangements alone were $999 per table. Shannon's gorgeous wedding band? $285K. But Gene finally realized for the first time that money isn't everything. It was all about Shannon's happiness and how much he loved her and wanted her to have her dream wedding.

The one thing missing from the nuptials? Gene's mother Florence, who could not make the trip. Gene tried desperately to find a way to have his beloved mother attend, but to no avail. On the bright side, Shannon's family traveled in from Canada, as well as Gene's family from Israel, to be a part of their special day.

The morning of the wedding, Gene revealed he felt a sense of calm that he was finally doing the right thing. He spoke to his mother via telephone, who gave him her blessing, "I want to wish you every happiness. I am glad you are going to slow down. Good luck and mazel tov. Give my love to Shannon and the children."

The couple's two children, Nick and Sophie, played an integral part in the festivities as Best Man and Maid of Honor. Shannon was thrilled her daughter could be there to help her get ready and stand next to her during the ceremony. Nick assisted Gene with his last-minute details and stood next to his dad at the altar.

It was a special moment when Gene saw Shannon for the first time in her wedding gown, and said to her, "I'll always remember this."

After everyone received a round of applause while walking down the aisle, including Snippy the dog, it was Shannon's turn to shine as she was escorted to her soon-to-be husband by her mother. It was a tearful moment as the two read their personal vows to one another and were finally pronounced man and wife.

Finally, the party was underway and the love in the room was evident, with heartfelt toasts going out to the bride and groom. Songs were sung by Nick, Sophie, Shannon and to round out the evening, an impromptu set by Gene's famous band, KISS. Finally, the night came to a close as the new Mr. and Mrs. Simmons retired to their room, ready to start their new life together.

Dear Gene and Shannon, First I would like to Congratulate you both. Shannon you deserve this special day to be all eyes on you. Gene you came to your senses and overcame some very difficult obstacles in your life, and I am proud of you. For a man to admit that he is not perfect and has made some mistakes in his life, and to turn them around and marry the woman you have spent 28 years with is truly a blessing. May god Bless your family and all life has to offer you in wedding bliss.
