Julianne Hough Wants An "Angry Dance," Too!

Footloose co-stars Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald sit down with SheKnows to talk about his dance solo, her lack of one and how they shook it all night long for their new dance movie.

"I wanted an angry dance," actress and dancer Julianne Hough says of the fact that she did not get to perform a dance solo while shooting the remake to the 1984 classic Footloose.

"But it wasn't in the original," she laments during an interview with SheKnows and co-star Kenny Wormald.

"Angry dance" is the behind-the-scenes term for the dance solo that Wormald does in the warehouse scene. You might remember it from the 1984 version with Kevin Bacon. He goes nuts in the rafters!

"You should put an 'angry dance' on YouTube," Wormald encourages Hough. She just laughs, but we agree that she deserves a solo, too. In the new Footloose, which comes out October 14, Hough plays wild child Ariel who falls in love with the town newcomer, Ren MacCormack, played by Wormald.

Hough is a two-time Dancing with the Stars winner and Wormald hails from MTV music video fame (he's danced with MadonnaMariah Carey and Christina Aguilera). Both professional dancers for most of their lives, Hough and Wormald often stayed up all night to get the film's electric dance scenes just right. "For a lot of those scenes," Wormald says, "6 a.m. would be the last shot."

But that didn't bother this dynamic duo, whose on-screen chemistry is just as electric as it is in person. So, why if both these phenomenal dancers are equally matched did only one of them have an angry dance scene...?
