Chynna Phillips was eliminated on Dancing with the Stars last night – and the Wilson Phillips singer says she is very "upset" about getting the boot.
"I'm trying to process the feelings right now," the 43-year-old told People. "It's a lot to take in."
"I know that everything happens for a reason," Chynna said, wiping tears from her eyes during backstage interviews. "It's okay. I've got so many blessings in my life."
What's next for the gorgeous blonde? Phillips says she is "looking forward to doing a lot of really incredible things" for the Los Angelitos Orphanage in Mexico – but she also plans to keep dancing. The star says she is going to take classes at the studio of her Dancing partner Tony Dovolani.
As it turns out, Phillips was a favorite of several Dancing with the Stars competitors. Karina Smirnoff was notably broken up by Phillips' early dismissal and was seen being consoled by partner J.R. Martinez and Lacey Schwimmer.
"It wasn't her time to go," Smirnoff told People. "She had so much left to show everyone. I'm really sad about this."
Martinez himself shared a special message he had received from his competitor. "She told me I was an unbelievable person and that she's so honored to know me," he said. "It amazed me. It's sad to see her go because she's a beautiful person and a beautiful dancer."
Can't get enough of Chynna Phillips? You won't have to give up your habit. She and her old singing partners Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson are putting together a reality show.
"Between touring, recording a new CD and raising nine children, the show promises love, laughter and head bumping!" said Chynna's singing partner Carnie Wilson.
The Wilson Phillips Project will air later this year on the TV Guide Network.
