Aside from April O'Neil, one of the only humans to breach the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' inner circle is Casey Jones. He's a hockey mask wearing vigilante who's known for his unconventional crime fighting methods and sports-centric weapons. Today he's no longer the sidekick -- he's the headliner.
If you've ever wondered what would happen if Casey Jones was the main protagonist in a film instead of the Turtles you're in luck. A year ago, a trailer created by Polaris Banks debuted online and it advertised a raw Casey-centric movie that showed the character's origins and his first meeting with the Turtles.
Jones previously made appearances in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Series, the 1990 and 1993 live-action films (he was portrayed by Elias Koteas) and the 2007 CGI feature, where he was voiced by Chris Evans.
Casey Jones was created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird and made his comic book debut in 1985. The character is a former hockey player who uses everything from baseball bats, hockey sticks, cricket bats and golf clubs as weapons. He's also a stealth fighter and a master at hand to hand combat.
The online film that was directed by Polaris Banks is currently available online at caseyjonesthemovie.com and stars Hilarion Banks who pulls double duty in front of and behind the camera. He plays Casey Jones in the film and also serves as its co-producer.
