After dealing with marital troubles not too long ago, the unlikely duo is battling rumors yet again. Just this week, rumors spread that Kutcher and Moore were on the outs after reports of infidelity, and when the duo spent their six-year wedding anniversary on separate coasts (they were both at work commitments) with nary an adorable Tweet to one another, rumors spread rapidly.
As usual, the couple's every move is followed on their respective Twitter accounts, and Moore's cryptic message the other day, which quoted Greek philosopher Epictetus — "When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger." — escalated the rumors, as People reports.
Kutcher took to Twitter to deny all the hype today. Just this afternoon, the new Two and a Half Men star tweeted "When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of you make an ASS out of U and ME." And earlier this morning he tweeted a link to a Public Enemy song he was playing on his Spotify account. The name of the song? "Don't Believe the Hype."
Who knows what the true story is, but we do know that we'll keep you posted on the updates of the story. SheKnows is awaiting comments from the duo's reps and will update you on the latest as we follow this story.
