Hugh Jackman going Back to Broadway

"See Hugh Jackman in a rare & intimate concert appearance. Previews begin 10/25; Opening Night on 11/10," Jackman tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

Amazing. Basically, the man known as Wolverine will perform "a personal selection" of his favorite songs with an 18-piece orchestra, according to Broadway.com. It's basically an extension of the one-man show he performed in San Francisco and Toronto earlier this year.

"I can't believe it's been seven years since I was singing and dancing on Broadway," Jackman said in a statement.

Jackman is referring to his Tony Award-winning performance in 2004's The Boy From Oz. He also performed in the Broadway play A Steady Rain with Daniel Craig for a limited run in 2009.

The actor played coy on a return to Broadway when debuting his one-man show in Toronto earlier this summer.

"The end goal is not Broadway, but I would love to do it on Broadway. The goal was simply to make something that I could do for thirty to forty years that I love doing. It feels like a massive indulgence," he said.

We can get behind this indulgence -- and we're booking our tickets now.
